“My life is my message” - Mohandas Gandhi

Throughout its life, ValueLabs has delivered the same message: we want to do the best we can for our people, we want to be an ‘extended family’, we want our people to achieve perfection as much in life as in work, we want our people to jump out of bed eager to come to work, …

And this message has been delivered through actions, not by words or PR.

Right from Day 1, we have done everything with the best interest of our people in mind. We have been completely honest, open and fair with everyone; and expected the same in return from our people. We abhor bureaucracy, nepotism and politics. We bend and break the rules to help our people and make them feel happy. We are nice people first, and everything else after that; attitude is a decision criteria in recruitment!

There are many instances of the things we have done for our people and the way our people have reciprocated. More than a fifth of our facility is dedicated to employee-welfare. Last year, we organized (day-long) two-week summer camp for kids. We have a dorm in the facility so that people don’t have to drive back home when they are tired. Our employee attrition is at a third of industry averages; attrition amongst people that have been with us for at least two years is almost zero.

Some of the factors that drive our HR policies are
1. A long-term outlook to employee care: Looking after their every need when it comes to compensation, health (gym, yoga, meditation...) and overall sense of fulfillment.
2. Provide a comfortable and complete benefits package: Free lunch / snacks / dinner, medical insurance; vehicle plan…
3. Provide challenging work: We create opportunities for our people to move up the value chain quickly and produce business impacting output in cutting edge technologies. We are able to provide this opportunity on account of the long-term and strategic nature of our engagements with most of our clients (that are themselves working in exciting technologies)
4. Give respect and recognition, where deserved: Apart from everything we do internally (performance appraisal twice a year, team outings, lunch with CEO, etc.), our people also get recognition directly from our clients (CXO level people) on account of the impact they make on the client’s business and engineering capability
5. “Extended family”: Our people are much more than an employee ID. Apart from everything else that we do to engender this feeling, our Extended Team Model (ETM) of engagement also lends itself to creating a “small company” atmosphere, however large ValueLabs itself might be. In ETM, our people work with the same group at ValueLabs and report directly to the client, with regular interactions with CXO-level people in the client organization; they often get to see (and are recognized by client for) the business impact of their work
6. Interactions with honesty and integrity: Everyone at ValueLabs is treated with respect and all dealings are carried out in a trusting and honest environment

Visit us or talk to any of our people; you will feel the difference!
