| Our facility in HITEC City in Hyderabad, India, is absolutely state-of-the-art. Our suppliers that have helped us build and fit out this facility (themselves leaders in their field globally) have told us that our facility is one of the best in the country. These vendors have been so impressed with our attention to detail and our desire to create a world-class infrastructure that some of them have designated our facility as a Beta site. |
| But much more than the physical infrastructure, it is the manner in which our facility embodies our philosophy that makes us proud. Our facility represents and implements our desire to do the best for our two key stakeholders: clients and employees. |
| The facility has a central spinal cord (the stairs) with organs (Quadrants) branching out in all directions. Our employees are an integral part of the client when they are in their workspace, but outside the quadrants they are part of the larger ValueLabs family. This (coupled with our Extended Team Model) gives our clients the best of both a captive center as well as a pure outsourced relationship. |
| The facility also helps our employees achieve fulfillment at a professional and a personal level. Apart from the excellent infra, the following design details help make for a more relaxed and friendly work environment: |
An entire floor of the facility (1/5th the floor space, close to 35000 square feet) is used for employee facilities and recreational activities |
No person is more than two feet away from natural light |
Each person has at least 110 square feet of work space |
There are 46 meeting rooms and 45 discussion areas |
There is a fully equipped gym (3000 square feet) with full-time personal trainers |
There is a Zen garden and a meditation room |
There is a dorm for people that are working late |
There is a highly automated canteen that caters to all our employees at no charge for the last 5 years. |
All phones are VoIP enabled |
| The facility, philosophy and atmosphere has a tremendous impact on all visitors and inhabitants |
Philosophy behind the facility, in the words of our CEO
(who was the driver for the entire project): |
| 1. |
Our architect spent 6 months studying our organization structure (or the lack thereof), typical client-team size, the organization within each client team… to come up with the blueprint of a facility that reflects the company in every way. |
| 2. |
The facility is built across 4 floors, with each floor being made up of 4 quadrants. Each quadrant accommodates about 110 people. Some of our larger clients occupy an entire quadrant, thereby being in a space entirely by them self. We encourage our employees to think of themselves as much a part of our client organization as they are a part of the larger team at ValueLabs. |
| 3. |
The seating within each quadrant is organized such that no person is more than one seat away either from a window or a central atrium. This gives everyone a sense of space and light. |
| 4. |
We have an entire floor of over 30,000 square feet dedicated to employee amenities – a gymnasium, yoga, meditation center, large lounge, dormitories, library, cafeteria, etc. |
| 5. |
4-hour UPS back up, a 1,500 Kilo Watt generator as an additional backup to run the entire facility, 3 mini telephone exchanges with optic fiber cables from 3 independent providers landing at our facility with a rated capacity of 330 Mbps, state of the art network infrastructure… |
| 6. |
The infrastructure we have is a true differentiator. When prospective employees tour our office, they don’t need any additional convincing about our outlook towards employee care, given the detailed planning that has gone into taking care of their every need. Gives them the comfort that we are willing to put our money where our mouth is when it comes to doing the right thing for them. |
