ValueLabs believes that if work has to be involving, it has to be fun. We have a measure, called “Fun-Index”, that measures the fun a team is having on the job. This is a subjective measure that the Program Manager and the team jot down each Quarter. The trend, Quarter on Quarter, is much more important than the absolute figure. What we have observed is that a downward trend in the ‘fun-index’ is a precursor to the fall in the performance of the team 4 – 6 months down the road. If there is a downward trend, the team identifies the causes for the fall. Subsequently, the Program Manager discusses the causes with the client and solutions are evolved jointly to move the ‘fun-index’ up.

Apart from the fun we get from our work, there are diverse platforms for us to exercise all our creative abilities and personal energies. Team outings, birthday celebrations, family meets, summer camps, a fully equipped gym with trainers, ping-pong table – all these and more keep the campus lively through the year.

ValClub, our ‘official’ fun-division, puts together all the events and happenings in ValueLabs. We celebrate special days and festivals across diverse cultures. Some of the regular events organized by ValClub are:

TGIF: Come Friday, there is either an exciting movie screening or a creative competition that keeps us rollicking. The campus reverberates with enthusiasts and cheerleaders.
Special Events: Important days in the year, like World Health Day and Women’s Day, are marked by informative talks from eminent speakers, special seminars and interesting contests.
Festivals: All important festivals are celebrated with gusto and fervor in ValueLabs. Right from traditional contests to special dress codes and theme parties, there is a great deal of exciting activities that keep us closely knit.
ValMeet: ValueLabs’ birthday is celebrated every June with professional entertainers as well as lots of competitions
Summer camps: When the schools are closed for Summer, we keep our kids out of everybody’s hair by organizing long summer camps with day-long activities
