As a part of our initiative to improve literacy, we are working closely with ‘Rural Development Foundation’ (RDF) to upgrade rural education in our country. Our other initiatives to promote the education are:
Nanhi Kali program
Endorsing education of girl child & encouraging Indians to “give back” in a focused manner lead to initiation of ‘Nanhi Kali’, a sponsorship program, where individuals can support the education of girl child in India.
Vande Mataram Foundation
VMF works towards the improvement of education in rural areas. VLF has partnered with Ramakrishna Math and VMF to start Sri Sharadha Bala Sanskara Kendra (SSBSK) that addresses two crucial issues:
- Empowering the girl child
- Instilling moral and ethical values among the children, by providing them with the required ‘sanskara’
- The program is run by a volunteer who is usually a local, needy, Intermediate-pass or Degree-dropout young woman
- She conducts classes every day after school hours for about 30-40 children
- In the process, she is empowered and encouraged to pursue education to help her become self dependent
Youth for Seva
It empowers youth to become positive change makers and involve them in all developmental programs. At ValueLabs, we encourage our employees to volunteer for various activities designed by YFS in their free time. We have given an opportunity to all our employees to directly take membership in YFS through our intranet.
Since three years ValueLabs employees are volunteering in ‘Chiguru’ a full day motivational program customized for government school children. Around 100 volunteers dedicate a whole day for these children.
A group of doctors founded Yagna foundation with a vision to add values to the present educational system. It has an orphanage and school that are set up with a goal to transform orphan children into successful citizens of India through education. VLF extended financial support to the foundation for their new school building construction in Vikarabad, Hyderabad.
Ashray Akruti is an NGO that runs residential schools especially for the hearing impaired children. Currently the organization runs three schools in and around Hyderabad with a total strength of 350 children. VLF is contributing Rs. 20,000 per month for food expenses of the children at these schools.
Braille Without Borders
Our support is also extended to NGOs like ‘Braille without Borders’ who empower blind people from various countries to make them self-dependent. In this way the concept can be spread across the globe in order to help many more blind and visually impaired people have access to education.
Rural Development Foundation
We promote education in rural areas of India through the Rural Development Foundation.
