• AWS Developer


• Develop and continue enhancing the next generation of back-end collection and processing (crediting) systems in AWS
• Build scalable, reliable, cost effective, and high quality system and software solutions
• Assist in the planning and specification authoring for feature development
• Develop software precisely meeting specifications
• Monitor performance and advise any necessary infrastructure changes
• Develop technical specifications and engage in system and software development within the team of developers through delivery and successful deployment to production
• Collaborate within this team and any downstream technical users of the data output generated by this platformImplement best practices both in development and AWS cost management


• At least 4 years of professional, hands-on experience in software development in AWS and Java
• Java advanced experience is preferred
• Demonstrated experience (at least 2 years) in Scala and Python (other scripting language such as Node js will be considered)
• Experience in handling Big Data
• Experience with Networking and IO, REST service development, and multi-threading
• Demonstrated experience in AWS Serverless architecture
• Professional experience with ETL pipeline implementation using AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, EMR, Athena, S3, SNS, DataPipeline, CloudFront is a must
• Experience in Agile-based software development methodology
• Experience with source control repositories like GitLab
• Direct experience with establishing successful Continuous Integration pipelines
• Experience with modern build tools such as Maven and Gradle
• Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze problems and develop actionable and appropriate tactical plans quickly with commitment to excellenceAbility to communicate and document effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Knowledge of Spark, SparkSQL, Spark Streaming, Kinesis
• Knowledge of SQL as well as working with relational databases, techniques, data modeling and associationsKnowledge of Unix and Windows environments plus basic scripting
