Hyderabad, India, Aug. 5, 2016: Hyderabad-headquartered global IT major ValueLabs has received the Government of Telangana’s assured and complete support for its expansion and growth plans. The state administration has promised to provide ValueLabs with the land necessary to set up a state-of-the-art greenfield IT campus in the new IT corridor near Rajendra Nagar.
Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary – Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Department, addressed the company’s employees at ValueLabs’ corporate headquarters in HITEC City after launching the Haritha Haram initiative, the government’s plantation drive. In his speech, Ranjan reiterated the Telangana Government’s support for promoting IT and ITeS companies based out of the state and expressed hope that the proposed IT campus would provide ValueLabs’ employees world-class facilities, infrastructure, and a great work atmosphere.
“Earlier this year on April 4, ValueLabs had signed a MoU with the state government during the launch of the 2016 ICT Policy regarding the creation of its greenfield IT campus.
Ranjan also lauded ValueLabs for joining hands with the Government of Telangana in furthering the administration’s Haritha Haram project. He handed over plant saplings to employees and exhorted them to continue supporting the drive.
“The government has undertaken the Haritha Haram project as a major mission to increase the green cover to 33% from the current 24% in order to maintain the city’s ecological balance. We have to plant close to 9 million saplings to achieve that target. We are happy that the technology companies have wholeheartedly responded to our call,” Ranjan said in a statement.
Ram Manjeri, Senior Vice President – ValueLabs, re-emphasized the company’s support for the government’s green initiatives. “As a responsible company, we remain sensitive to ecological concerns and have been doing our bit towards improving the environment. This year, we launched a major Adopt-a-Plant initiative in alignment with the state government’s Haritha Haram project, and are aggressively promoting it among our employees through various social media and digital channels available to us. We are excited to be part of this program,” he said.
