5G

5G, short for “”fifth generation,”” refers to the latest generation of wireless network technology that provides faster data transfer speeds, higher bandwidth, and lower latency than previous generations. It is designed to support the growing number of devices that require internet connectivity, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

5G promises to deliver data transfer rates that are 10 to 100 times faster than 4G, with latency reduced by up to 10 times (with peak speeds potentially reaching up to 20 Gbps). This could enable new applications and services that require high-speed, low-latency connections, such as autonomous vehicles, virtual and augmented reality, remote medical consultations, and more.
